LionsXII beats Perak 2-1

Singapore LionsXII ended Perak’s 3-game winning streak at home, with a 2-1 victory in the Malaysian Super League game played earlier.

Captain Shahril Ishak broke the deadlock in the 35th minute after he knocked home a well-placed header from Sufian Anuar.

The home side equalised 10 minutes after the interval off a penalty from Michal Kubala.

However the home side’s celebration was short-lived, when Shahril Ishak scored yet again in the 75th minute to give his side their second league win in 4 days.

LionsXII next game is against UiTM FC in the first round of the Malaysia FA Cup on Feb 18. Their next MSL game is against Felda United at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Mar 6.
