LionsXII slams 3 goals past Sarawak

After their recent 0-0 draw against Kuala Lumpur, LionsXII finally returned to their winning ways with a comprehensive 3-0 win over Sarawak in the MSL match played earlier.

Defender Safuwan Baharudin opened the scoring for the home side in the 7th minute off a simple header.

Agu Casmir added his name to the scoresheet in the 36th minute, latching on a rebound after Sufian Anuar’s shot was parried away by the onrushing keeper.

It was 3-0 in the 64th minute, when Agu made no mistake, sliding in a left-footed shot under the keeper to seal all three points for LionsXII.

LionsXII’s next match is against Sabah on June 16.

LionsXII draws 3-3 against Kedah

After a convincing 2-0 win against Felda United on Tuesday, the LionsXII can only managed a 3-3 draw against traditional rival Kedah, in a match played at the Jalan Besar Stadium this evening.

LionsXII took the lead in the 9th minute after Ishak flicked in the ball from close range. However the visitor levelled the score after a header from Khyril Muhymeen in the 22nd minute.

Sufian Anuar put the home side ahead again off a stunning header in the 29th minute. Defender Baihakki Khaizan gave the LionsXII a comfortable 3-1 lead in the 57th minute after nodding in the third goal.

The visitors quickly levelled the score with two goals within the span of 5 minutes, first by Amar Rohidan, and the second by Vedran Gerc.

The final score ended 3-3.

LionsXII’s next game is away to Kuala Lumpur On May 15.

Roaring LionsXII tears PKNS apart with a 5-0 victory

A magnificent performance by LionsXII saw them smashing in 5 goals past PKNS at the Jalan Besar Stadium, avenging their last week’s defeat.

Safuwan Baharudin tapped home from close range in the 17th minute to open the scoring.

2 minutes later, Shaiful Esah unleashed a cheeky free kick just outside the penalty box, in which the ball found its way straight into the back of the net to make it 2-nil.

In the 26 minute, a Shahdan Sulaiman corner found an unmarked Sevki Shaban who bullet header in the 3rd goal for the home side.

After the break, Agu Casmir scored a brace in the 53rd and 87th minute - finally ended his goalless misery for the past 4 months.

The 5-0 victory maintained LionsXII’s top position in the MSL campaign.

LionsXII ends unbeaten run after 0-1 loss to PKNS

LionsXII ended their 10 matches unbeaten run after a 0-1 defeat to PKNS FC at Petaling Jaya Stadium in a match played earlier.

PKNS’s French striker Michael Joseph Nicoise scored the solitary goal in the 80th minute off a free-kick outside the box.

LionsXII’s next game is against PKNS FC at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Apr 17.

3 more points for LionsXII after 2-1 win over Perak

An Irwan Shah goal in the 89th minute saw the LionsXII beat Perak 2-1 to extend their unbeaten run in the league to 10 matches.

Shahdan Sulaiman gave the home side the lead in the 42th off a penalty.

Shortly after the half time break, the visitors earned themselves a penalty as well, with Michal Kubala converting it to equalize the score at 1-1.

Just when the fans thought that the teams were heading for a point each, Irwan Shah latched on to a knock down by Safuwan Baharudin to knock in the winning goal and 3 precious points for LionsXII in the 89th minute.

LionsXII’s next game is away to Selangor PKNS on Apr 14.

LionsXII battles to a 1-nil win over Johor FC

LionsXII extended their lead in the Malaysian Super League after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Johor FC on Saturday evening.

Khairul Nizam broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute, slotting in from close range after shrugging off at least 2 defenders.

LionsXII’s next game is against Perak on Apr 10 at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

LionsXII cruises to a 4-2 win over Negri Sembilan

Lionsxii has moved to the top of the Malaysian Super League after a 4-2 win over Negri Sembilan at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium earlier this evening.

Lionsxii took the lead in the 14th minute after Safuwan Baharudin stab home from close range. Barely 6 minutes later, Khairul extended LionsXII’s lead after a cheeky through ball from Irwan Shah.

Negri defender Mahathevan pulled one back for the home side after a mix-up from a corner kick during the half-hour mark. But Sharil Ishak restored the 2-goal lead when he curled in from close range just inside the penalty area.

LionsXII’s Shahdan Sulaiman added his name to the scoresheet when he made no mistake tapping in a goal after an unselfish pass from Hariss in the 70th minute.

Negri managed to pull one back again from a Shukor Adan’s header in the 86th minute.

The results sees the LionsXII move top of the MSL league table, one point ahead of Kelantan, who still have 2 games in hand.

LionsXII beats T-Team 2-1

LionsXII recorded a well-deserved 2-1 win over T-Team in the Malaysian Super League played earlier at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

Captain Sharil Ishak opened the scoring in the 51st minute, slotting in from close range. However the celebrations were short-lived when the visitors equalised just 3 minutes later off a Zairo Anuar’s strike.

LionsXII continued to push forward and were finally rewarded after T-Team defender Norfazly bin Alias was penalised in the penalty area. Shahdan Sulaiman stepped up and scored the winning goal for the home side.

LionsXII will travel up to Negeri Sembilan on 3 Apr.

LionsXII secures 1-1 draw against Selangor

LionsXII played to a hard-fought 1-1 draw with traditional rival Selangor at the Jalan Besar Stadium last evening.

The home side broke the deadlocked in the 62nd minute after a well-placed diving header from Sufian Anuar.

Bosko Balaban netted the equaliser for the visitors in the 81st minute from a free-kick just outside the penalty box to make it 1-1.

LionsXII’s next MSL game is against T-Team on Mar 31.
